Emotional Intelligence,IQ,Personality And The Workplace

Description
The course is ideal for those in management or human resources.
The concept of Emotional Intelligence became popularized in 1995 when Daniel Goleman wrote a book titled 'Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter More Than IQ'. While the concept has remained popular, it is also controversial. As a graduate student in Educational Psychology, this topic is of particular interest to me as I study the intersection of Education/learning and Psychology. (ie learning problems, intelligence testing, etc..)
This course is essentially my literature review on emotional intelligence as it applies to organizational outcomes. I try to answer questions such as: Is emotional intelligence highly related to job performance? Is it highly related to leadership qualities? Do EI measures actually measure emotional intelligence?
The course is designed to be concise, have short lessons, and be direct in the presentation of the information. Your time is valuable, and I want to jam in as much relevant information as possible in the least amount of time.
Questions and Discussions are encouraged in the Q and A.
